He focuses on providing his clients with clear and succinct advice, and offer practical solutions to them for their legal and regulatory issues.

Waqar has been regularly engaged in and has handled various contentious and non-contentious matters in areas including Customs and Taxation, Constitutional and Administrative Law, High-stakes Contractual / Commercial disputes, Property and Tenancy disputes, Energy / Oil and Gas Sector disputes, Labour / Industrial Relations / Employment matters, White Collar Crime, Foreign Exchange Regulation matters, Competition / Anti-Trust matters, Corporate / Company / Shareholder disputes and Regulatory matters, Medical Negligence claims, International Shipping claims etc. He has also been part of and involved in several landmark constitutional and commercial cases in Pakistan.

He has frequently acted in an advisory capacity in various non-contentious corporate transactions and regulatory matters, including advising his corporate clients on liaising with Regulatory bodies and Government Departments. He has been part of creating legal strategies for corporations in crisis situations, where major incidents/accidents resulted in multiple civil as well as criminal actions being initiated against them.

He has also handled and has been directly involved in several Arbitrations involving multi-billion-rupee claims.

Waqar commenced his legal practice at Khalid Anwer & Co. as a Litigator and subsequently moved on to become Legal Counsel for major MNCs like Royal Dutch Shell and Engro Corporation.

He is passionate about areas of law which relate to public interest such as environmental law, social welfare laws, public administrative laws etc. Through his practice, he aims to employ legal remedies as a medium to curb social injustices and restrain administrative oversteps which are prevalent in Pakistan.
