Saiff is an Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan with rights of audience before all the High Courts and various regulatory bodies and administrative tribunals.

Saiff is a highly respected civil, commercial, constitutional and criminal lawyer. His civil and commercial practice includes contracts and commercial disputes, shareholder and director disputes, partnership dissolution, asset recovery, medical negligence, property disputes, banking recovery and labour/employment related disputes. His criminal practice focuses on commercial and business crime, fraud, corruption, anti-money laundering, anti-terrorism, cyber-crime, defamation and blue-collar crime. He is regularly appearing in matters linked to the National Accountability Bureau, Federal Investigation Agency and Customs department. He has also appeared in a number of writ petitions challenging the constitutionality of various executive and legislative actions.

He has extensive experience of advising and acting for various clients in the automotive, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and construction sector. As a matter of course, he also does corporate advisory work. He was recently engaged by the Pakistan Air Force to facilitate and advise on various projects being conducted.

He has considerable expertise in succession planning for high net worth individuals. Apart from the above, Saiff regularly takes on work in relation to environmental law and has advised various clients in respect of the Sindh Environment Protection Act related litigation.

Saiff also has comprehensive knowledge in advising retainer clients on and structuring tax efficient transactions and is retained by a number of companies and high net worth individuals for their investment planning and taxation. He has recently been appointed to be on the panel of lawyers/advisors for the Federal Board of Revenue (‘FBR’) and regularly represents the FBR and its field formations in litigation before various Courts and Tribunals.

On the criminal side his practice also focuses on appellate cases dealing with wrongful convictions in murder cases whereby the accused is serving life imprisonment. He also has experience of appearing for convicts who are charged under the Anti-Terrorism Act and in death penalty cases. Apart from the above, he is also on the panel of lawyers appointed by the state for paupers accused and regularly appears to assist the court in this regard on a pro bono basis.

He  has also helped set up various reputable philanthropic organisations and remains actively involved with them.
